Go back to his days in the Clinton Admin, Senator Robert Byrd reprimanding him for being unable or unwilling to testify about basic facts before Oversight committees. He stated Richardson would NEVER be confirmed for another position by the Senate.

I have lived in New Mexico for a long time and have followed politics locally, nationally, and globally. Many New Mexicans know Bill Richardson to be a complete slimebag. I would not consider him fit for any position in the new administration.
